Welcome to Medway Racers where we like to race Kyosho Mini Z cars on a RCP track with Giro Z timing equipment at our club in Lordswood in Kent ( just off junction 3 of the M2 ).
All are welcome for fun racing as mini z cars allow a cheap form of quality racing with set ups costing from 40 pounds off ebay to 120 and upwards brand new, there are also lots of hop ups availiable and lots of people to race against in the UK club scene.
Also via HFAY ( how fast are you ) you can race the whole World as everyone is using the same standard of car and racing on the same RCP track in their individual clubs
The Cars
There are 3 main types of cars, AWD ( All Wheel Drive ), 2 Wheel Drive, and F1, but kyosho also make monster trucks and some suv`s
2 Wheel Drive
Most racers use the 2 wheel drive chasis, with the MR03 and MR02 being the most popular, straight out of the box these are raceable, and with a few modifications they are very quick, the 2 wheel drive is definately the racers weapon of choice
AWD
This chasis is very popular with drifters, and a lot of fun can be had with these, however it is hard to get them as quick as a 2 wheel drive chasis
F1
The F1 is a favourite of mine, but traditionaly not so popular for racing, as bits would fly off like wings and spoilers, but they have now got some very nice hop ups and are becoming more and more popular with racers
